MNPI policy

1. Definition

Material Nonpublic Information is any information that: a. Is not publicly available to the market. b. Could have a significant impact on the market price of a security if disclosed. c. Is considered to be material information regarding a publicly-traded company or security that has not yet been made available to the public.

2. Adherence to Public Information Use

Regional Heads and Senior Editors must: a. Ensure Economists research solely on publicly available information. b. Ensure that all data sources are verifiable and publicly accessible. c. Clearly reference and cite all information sources when uploading articles.

3. Prohibition of the Use of MNPI

Senior Editors and Economists shall not: a. Seek, utilize, or disseminate MNPI in any form during their research and analytical activities. b. Engage in communications with entities or individuals who may have access to MNPI. c. Participate in discussions, forums, or activities where MNPI might be shared.

4. Publication and Distribution of Research

a. Ensure that research and analyses are available to all market participants simultaneously to avoid selective disclosure. b. Employ rigorous validation and approval processes for research publications to safeguard against accidental dissemination of MNPI. c. Ensure that all research outputs are stored securely and are accessible only to authorized personnel part of editor@emergingmarketwatch.com.

5. Identification and Management of Potential MNPI

In the event of an Economist inadvertently coming into possession of potential MNPI, they must: a. Immediately cease any research and analysis related to the information. b. Report the incident to the editor@emergingmarketwatch.com. c. Refrain from sharing the information with other colleagues or external parties.

7. Continuous Education

8. Whistleblowing and Violations

a. Report any suspected misuse or illegal distribution of MNPI to editor@emergingmarketwatch.com. b. All reports of violations will be treated confidentially and investigated promptly.

9. Review and Audit

a. The Regional Heads in collaboration with the management will conduct occasional audits to ensure adherence to this MNPI policy. b. Senior Editors and Economists must cooperate fully with any review or audit of their research and trading activities.
